ඒ වගේම ලැප්ටොප් එකක්ට ඔය GPS Technology ගන්න විදිහක් නැද්ද?

පුලුවන්, ගොඩක් USB/Bluetooth GPS modules තියනවා.

- How to get GPS navigation on Laptop to use as travelling aid in Sri lanka?

1. What are the equipment we need to fix to laptop? any Brand names & specs? Where can we buy them? How much will they cost?

2. What are the application we may need to install? can we use Google maps as a GPS software navigator on laptop?

3. is it possible to cash maps while online and use them offline?

ජී.පී.එස් එක අපේ රටේ බොහොමත්ම දුලඹ දෙයක් වුනත් පිට රටවල නම් එදිනෙදා කටයුතු පහසු කරගන්න පුලුවන් උපාංගයක් විදියටම ජී.පී.එස් එක ජනප්‍රිය වෙලා. ඒත් මේ පෝස්ට් එක දැක්කම මට හිතෙනවා ලංකාවේත් ජී.පී.එස් ගැන උනන්දු වන අය ඉන්නවා කියලා. මේ ජී.පී.එස් වලින් ගන්න දත්ත හරියාකාරව මෙහෙයවන්න ජී.අයි.එස් යොදාගන්න පුලුවන්. ජී.අයි.එස් කියන්නේ භූගෝලීය දත්ත කලමනාකරනය කරන පහසුම ක්‍රමයටයි. මේ ගැන තව දුරටත් දැනගන්න කැමති නම් ලංකාවේ ජී.අයි.එස් ගැන උනන්දු වන අය වෙනුවෙන් පිහිටුවා තිබෙන http://www.mapmyplace.com/forum/ වෙතින් සාමාජිකත්වය ලබා ගන්න.

බොහොම ස්තුතියි. මම මේ ගැන ටිකක් කියෙව්වා. මට දැන ගන්න ලැබුණා ජී පී එස් නිවැරදිතාවය 4-20m කියල. ඒ වගේම DGPS කියල එකකුත් තියනවා. එහි නිවැරදිතාවය 1-3m වෙනව. මෙම දත්ත හරි නේද? මට දැන ගන්න ඕන ලංකාවේ DGPS පාවිච්චි කරන්න පුලුවන්ද කියල. පුලුවන්නම් ඒ කොහොමද?

yea, google maps or Nokia maps wage evata maps load wena vidihata data charges ekathu wenawa. eka parak download unama eva cache ekak hatiyata thiyena nisa ayeth one wenne na. ath aluth maps, zoom wage evatath data download wenawa.

maps use karanne nathi nam hari offline maps use karanawa nam charges wenne na. mama use
karanne MGmaps offline. mama maps download karala (PC eken) memeory chip eke save karala thiyenne. a nisa data charges only for A-GPS (4~6 cents per time) only.

On your Asus 535 try this and let me know. ( I assume you have internet connectivity and google maps installed)
(1)settings->Externel GPS set following: Program Port-COM4: Hardware Port-COM2,baud 4800; Access-Tick (enable) Manage GPS automatically.
(2)Google maps menu->options->GPS settings : Managed by windows
(if you really want to Set Manually then set COM4 , 4800)
(3)Google maps menu->tick on “USE GPS”

Then you should see “Initializing GPS” for a moment and them “seeeking GPS satellites(0)…” on top right hand corner of display. If not let me know.

For good reception connect your external GPS antenna and if you can please let me know what type of antenna it is.

Jail braking is the best idea, even with OS 3.0 you can do this with out an issues. if you use a unlook SIM you have to cut your SIM as well to fit it in so what i would say is to jail brake it. then you have the option of installing apps thats not in iTunes apps store.
