recently purchased a huwei e1550 from dialog and for the moment i manage it with a prepaid connection…looking forward to move into airtel broadband as it is available in colombo…any one who is using airtel..plz gimme a feedback on this

Hi guys,
I heard that Dialog people have done some changes in their network in Maharagama, Boralasgamuwa, Katubedda, Mt.Lavinia, Dehiwala, Wellawatta & Nugegoda area. Some of my friends told that now their Dialog connection is performing well. I also get around 1 Mbps in Mt.Lavinia area.

Have been using Airtel Unlimited for like 4 months now, @bowelikada, Kandy. Speeds have greatly improved with 1-1.5Mbps even during peak, Correct me if im wrong but i think Airtel 3G is still only avaliable@ Colombo,Kandy and Galle so its not exactly ‘Mobile’, to get a good mobile broadband connection you should be at the correct place at the correct time, what works for me might not work for you bcos of isses like distance from the tower, peak usage ect. so if you want to use Mobile B. as a substitute for ADSL/WIMAX then its better to check how all 3 networks Dialog,Mobitel and Airtel work to your place before choosing a network, get a pre-paid sim from somewhere and test the speed.thats how i did it anyway.

No improvement yet on my Mobitel 3.6Mbps connection, the speed hardly reaches 1Mbps. I don t know whats wrong with it!!!!!!!!!! Can someone help pls. I m from Katugasthota, Kandy. Anyone using Airtel broadband in Kandy?

i also had low speed 2 weeks or so back. it was around 600kbps at peak time. and it was getting disconnected regularly. so i complained them. last saturday i got a call from them and said all issues corrected in my area- maharagama. initially i didnt beleive them but they were quite correct. now it doesnt disconnect even once when used for 6, 8 hours continuously. and my speed never goes bellow 2mb at peak time.

so dont worry, they will correct it. they said they are upgrading HSPA network these days and turning off some towers at night.

Dialog and Mobitel, they both suck in Kandy. In fact all broadband in our country sucks. So its better to use a prepaid connection without wasting money.

Mobitel hit rock bottom, for the last few weeks or so (well after price reduction and Upahara data SIM) mobitel hit the rock bottom with Dialog, now, it don’t matter if your using Dialog or Mobitel, they both suck, but sadly mobitel sucks more in the night

ADSL නැත්නම් විසදුම wimax තමයි, හොදම දේ තමයි ඒ අයට ඇවිත් සිග්නල් ටෙස්ට් එකක් කරන්න කියන්න (ඉල්ලුම් කරහම ඒ අය ඇවිත් කරනවා) වේගනයම් ඉන්න ප්‍රදේෂය හා එක tower එකක ඉන්න users ලා ප්‍රමාණය අනුව වෙනස් වෙනවා.
